Arbani Yasiz is undoubtedly one of the young actors who is currently on the rise. After his name became famous thanks to playing the phenomenal character Dilan, in Eid 2025 Arbani will star in MD Pictures’ latest horror film, Pabrik Gula (Sugar Factory) by Awi Suryadi. Although he now often appears in cinemas, who would have thought that Arbani Yasiz once had all his scenes cut when he first entered the world of acting. Career Journey of Arbani Yasiz

Before entering the world of acting, Arbani Yasiz first entered the world of modeling. After becoming the second winner of the coverboy of Aneka Yess! magazine in 2012, his opportunities in the entertainment world in Indonesia began to open up. Arbani also received several calls to star in advertisements.

A year later, Arbani admitted that he was invited to appear in the soap opera Cinta yang Sama. However, unfortunately, all of his scenes were deleted during the broadcast.

“Yes, so I once played in a soap opera, I appeared in episode four, it was about to air. I played the character of a nerdy guy who also stutters, I played it and I was already filming,” said Arbani Yasiz as quoted by TribunSeleb, Tuesday (11/2/2025).

After filming, he didn’t get another call. “Suddenly I wasn’t called again, so I thought maybe the character didn’t exist,” he said.

However, when the soap opera aired, Arbani couldn’t find the scene he had played. “When it aired, I watched it, it was my episode, I watched it until the end, why wasn’t I there?” he said. “I complained to my manager then.”

It turned out that his scene was cut because the character Arbani played was no longer needed in the soap opera. Even though Arbani had filmed up to three episodes.

It was only two years later, in 2015, that he got the chance to play the main character in the soap opera Pangeran Lutung. In the same year, he also got the role of TJ in the soap operas High School Love Story and Pacarku dari Langit. That year also marked his big screen debut through the film Heart Beat.

Furthermore, he began to get roles, both in soap operas and films. However, his name only started to become famous when he played Roman in the soap opera adaptation entitled Roman Picisan the Series in 2017.

Arbani’s name became more widely known after he was appointed to replace Iqbaal Ramadhan to play the phenomenal character from Pidi Baiq’s book, namely Dilan. Arbani played Dilan in the film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 (2024) produced by MD Pictures together with Enam Sembilan Production. The film was a success with an audience of 1,317,412 people.

In Eid 2025, Arbani will appear as Fadhil in the film Pabrik Gula. The film is predicted to repeat the success of KKN di Desa Penari, because it was made by four people who previously collaborated on the highest-grossing Indonesian film in history, namely Manoj Punjabi as producer, Awi Suryadi as director, Lele Laila as writer, and SimpleMan as story source.

Although his career in the entertainment world is shining, unfortunately Arbani was forced to give up his studies because of his busy work. During an interview with Tabloid Bintang, he admitted that he had tried to balance between filming and lectures. However, he finally gave up.

“Previously, I had taken leave twice, so I couldn’t take leave again. So, I was forced to resign,” said Arbani.

Even so, he still has the determination to continue his education. He has also made plans to continue his studies in the future. “I want to go to Universitas Terbuka. Take online courses, so that we can do it together. So that we can both go together,” he explained.
