Having expertise in singing Sinden, Madukina was again entrusted with filling in the original soundtrack for “Badarawuhi di Desa Penari.” Born into a family of artists from Gunung Kawi, Malang, on this project she also had the opportunity to duet with his father, Matoha Mino. Titled ‘Dawuh’, the sinden strains, which are the original soundtrack for Dancing Village: The Curse Begins, have a unique story behind their creation.

The Soundtrack of Dancing Village: The Curse Begins ‘Dawuh’ Has Been through the Among-Among Procession in Its Making
Written directly by Madukina and Matoha Mino, this song has a different approach to maintaining the sacredness of the sinden strains. The making of ‘Dawuh’ sinden is familiar because Madukina and her father, Matoha Mino, still believe in local customs.
In fact, apart from reading the script from this film, the making of the ‘Dawuh’ sinden also goes through an among-among procession, or what is usually called a custom to ask permission from the ancestors.
Just like in the film, dawuh is a figure chosen to become a follower of Badarawuhi. This sinden strain also tells how the figure of dawuh is believed to exist on this earth.
The making of the official music video for ‘Dawuh’ was also inspired by the film “Badarawuhi di Desa Penari”. Through Prialangga’s creative and directing process, the official music video for ‘Dawuh’ takes many settings similar to the film, like Madukina, who is described as a candidate for Dawuh and Badarawuhi, and Matoha Mino’s father, who is described as Mbah Buyut and the ghost.
Breaking Records, the Film “Badarawuhi di Desa Penari” Becomes the First Film Released for IMAX in Southeast Asia
“Badarawuhi di Desa Penari” is a horror film in Indonesia and a prequel to “KKN di Desa Penari,” which was successful in 2022, managing to break box office records in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
In “Dancing Village: The Curse Begins,” this phenomenal story combines extraordinary directing from Kimo Stamboel with the power of an IMAX-certified digital camera, an ultra-large screen, and distinctive sound to bring the story of the frightening village of dancers and the breathtaking action to life in the film.
