Pabrik Gula film is ready to be shown in Indonesian cinemas during Eid 2025. This time, MD Pictures, an MD Entertainment Company (IDX: FILM), will once again present a breakthrough in the world of Indonesian horror films. Together with CJ 4Dplex & CGV Indonesia, MD Pictures is ready to bring the viewing experience to a more immersive level by presenting the Pabrik Gula film in 4DX format.
Pabrik Gula is a continued collaboration of four people who successfully produced the highest-grossing Indonesian film in history, KKN di Desa Penari. They are producer Manoj Punjabi, director Awi Suryadi, writer Lele Laila, and SimpleMan.
This film features a line-up of talented stars such as Arbani Yasiz, Ersya Aurelia, Erika Carlina, Bukie B. Mansyur, and Wavi Zihan. Ready to haunt cinema screens during the Eid holiday of 2025, Pabrik Gula will present a story full of tension that is more real and thrilling thanks to 4DX technology.
In the press conference for the release of the Official 4DX Poster & Trailer for the film Pabrik Gula, Head of Marketing CGV Indonesia Ssun Kim admitted that he was very happy and always looking forward to the ongoing collaboration between CGV Indonesia and MD Pictures.

Present in 4DX format, Pabrik Gula promises a completely different viewing experience. 4DX technology is designed to stimulate the audience’s five senses with intense special effects. Starting from the movement of the chairs that follow each tense scene, dramatic flashes of light, piercing gusts of wind, smoke that adds to the tense atmosphere, to the aroma that makes the experience even more immersive. The terror will feel more real and thrilling!
Pabrik Gula Synopsis
Endah, Fadhil, Dwi, Hendra, Wati, Ningsih, and Franky set off with dozens of other people to a sugar factory to become seasonal laborers. Every year the sugar factory employs people from surrounding villages to speed up the sugar cane grinding process during the harvest season. At first everything went smoothly without any strangeness, until one night, Endah woke up and left the dormitory where she was staying to follow a mysterious figure. Since that night, the workers began to experience increasing terror, starting from a work accident that befell one of them, to the tragic death of a worker in the well behind. It was then revealed that the factory was adjacent to a demon kingdom, something had angered the demons so that now they were demanding the lives of the workers.
