Agla Artilidia fully immersed herself in her role in the latest horror film, Sebelum 7 Hari (Before 7 Days). The actress, who plays Tari, even had to soak in a cave with cold water to complete her performance. Agla Artalidia movie Sebelum 7 Hari is said to be the most challenging movie she has ever played.
“The terrain was quite challenging,” said Agla during the launch of the trailer and poster for Sebelum 7 Hari in Jakarta, Thursday (12/12/2024). “Diving in and out. Wet until dry again, but it was so much fun. An experience I will never forget for the rest of my life!”
Before performing that scene, Agla admitted that she had to undergo training to hold her breath and dive with good posture. The filming took place in mid-last year.
“I forgot the location of the goa, but it was in West Java. When the sun rises, it’s a sign to wrap up. Fortunately, I didn’t get sick,” Agla said.
To maintain her health and fitness during the challenging filming, Agla regularly does light exercises, takes vitamins and fruits, and even finds time to sleep between shoots.
Before diving into the muddy water in the cave, Agla asked for the lights to be turned on first to check her surroundings. “I’m afraid of insects. So, I checked first. At first, the water was still clear, but over time, the sand kept rising and it became murky,” she said.
The horror film Sebelum 7 Hari is an adaptation of a short film that has won many prestigious awards. Telling the story of the mystical atmosphere enveloping a family after the death of a mother. The full-length version of the horror film Sebelum 7 Hari is set to premiere in theaters on January 23, 2025.
First released in October 2020 on the Pijaru YouTube channel, the story of Sebelum 7 Hari is based on the belief that a person’s spirit lingers for seven days after their death. The narrative that combines horror and emotion makes the short film not only scary but also full of meaning.
Director Awi Suryadi briefly shared snippets of the filming process of “Sebelum 7 Hari” on his social media. In about a month, the filming of “Sebelum 7 Hari” was completed in July 2024.

Synopsis of Sebelum 7 Hari
The short film Sebelum 7 Hari has been available on YouTube for four years, and to date, it has been watched by more than 1.8 million people on YouTube.
In the short film, it tells the story of two children who attend the wake of their recently deceased grandmother. While waiting for the funeral ceremony the next day, they stayed overnight in their late grandmother’s room and experienced a terrifying event.
The short film has won the Best Live Action award at HelloFest 14 and Best Fiction at the ReelOzInd! Australia Indonesia Short Film Competition and Festival 2021.
Sebelum 7 Hari is being further developed into a feature film directed by Awi Suryadi, who previously set a record with KKN di Desa Penari as the highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time.
In the film Sebelum 7 Hari, the two main characters are named Tari and Kadar. They must bear the dark past of their mother and race against time, while an evil spirit demands its right before the seven days are over.
