Jakarta, February 28, 2025 – PT MDTV Media Television (MDTV) held an inauguration event at the MD Place Building, Friday (28/2/2025), while also introducing three new series and special Ramadan programs to accompany sahur and breaking the fast.
Carrying the tagline “Drama Nomor 1”, MDTV is ready to entertain all Indonesian viewers with dramas that will air every day. MDTV Vice President of Program Sairaa Punjabi promises to bring big screen quality drama to the small screen.
“As part of MD Entertainment, we are committed to producing quality series that are interesting and resonate with the audience,” she said. “MDTV will bring big screen quality drama to TV screen!”
Sairaa also introduced three MDTV series titles that will air simultaneously starting February 28, 2025, namely Samuel (airing every day at 17.30 WIB), Cinta Cinderella (19.00 WIB), and Terlanjur Indah (20.30 WIB). The three series are studded with many young stars such as Rebecca Klopper, Lazuardy Nasution, Jordy Rizkyanda, Aisyah Aqilah, Jeff Smith, Anrez Ardelio, Annette Edoarda, Samudra Taylor, and experienced series actor Dwi Andhika.
In addition, there are two special Ramadan programs from MDTV. First, Ini Baru Sahur which airs every 02.30 WIB with the following cast: H. Bolot, H. Malih, Denny Cagur, Rizky Inggar, Amanda Rigby, Arif Brata, Dede Sunandar and Ustaz Encep Sihabudin.
Meanwhile, breaking the fast will be accompanied by Habib Husein Ja’far in the program Kisah Para Sahabat Rasul.
Chairman of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Ubaidillah is also optimistic that MDTV can provide a new color in the world of television in Indonesia. “Congratulations to MDTV, whose building inauguration today is also a sign of change from NET to MDTV,” he said.
“For us, it is not just a name change, but also a change in the landscape of Indonesian television broadcasting,” continued Ubaidillah.
