“PABRIK GULA” SYNOPSIS

Approaching the sugar milling season at a remote factory on Java, Endah joins as a seasonal worker to settle family debts, accompanied by friends Fadil, Hendra, Wati, Ningsih, Franky, and Dwi. They’re greeted by strict rules from Marni and Samin: return to the mess at the yellow alarm and stay put after the red alarm at 9 pm.

On their first night, Endah spots Ningsih sneaking out post-red alarm. Concerned, Endah discovers a mysterious wayang performance without a visible puppeteer in a warehouse, where everyone inexplicably vanishes except for a tied-up ox. Terrified, Endah retreats without explanation.

The next day, Samin finds the ox rejected by the Demit Kingdom, signaling their need for a different sacrifice. As supernatural occurrences escalate, Marni prioritizes factory operations while Samin and Jinah investigate. Amidst the chaos, Endah and her friends realize they might be the next targets.

As tensions rise and the Demit’s demands become clearer, Endah and her friends must navigate eerie revelations and dark secrets to survive the haunting mysteries of the sugar mill.
