MD Pictures announced its latest film titled “SOROP.” This film will be released simultaneously on December 19, 2024. Then the original soundtrack has also been prepared to enhance the chilling atmosphere of this film. Together with MD Musik Indonesia, the song that will become the original soundtrack for the film “SOROP,” titled ‘Jelang Malam,’ will be performed by Arini Kumara and Nesia Ardi.
Known for her excellent technical and musical skills in playing the double bass, Arini Kumara has previously contributed to original soundtracks for films such as “Badarawuhi Di Desa Penari” and “Perewangan.” This time, she collaborates with Nesia Ardi, who will provide vocals for the song ‘Jelang Malam.’ This song was written directly by Arini Kumara, which carries the meaning of a figure that continues to haunt. “I made this song specifically for the soundtrack, so it really aligns with the synopsis of the story ‘SOROP’. This song tells the story of a figure that always haunts,” said Arini Kumara.
Nesia Ardi also expressed her happiness for being involved in the project and providing the voice for this film. “I’m happy to be involved in this project and to sing the song ‘Jelang Malam,’ which is my first horror soundtrack,” said Nesia Ardi.
“SOROP” is a story adapted from the viral SimpleMan thread. Tells the story of Hanif (Hanna Malasan) and Isti (Yasamin Jasem) who intend to return to their childhood home, only to be shocked by the death of Pakde that happens right in front of them. Pakde’s death apparently brings something darker into their home. Now, Hanif and Isti must unravel the mystery related to their past.
