The film La Tahzan, directed by the renowned director Hanung Bramantyo, is based on a story by Elizasifaa. This film reunites Manoj Punjabi, Hanung Bramantyo, and Elizasifaa, after their previous success with the phenomenal film Ipar Adalah Maut.
The Thanksgiving event took place solemnly yet joyfully at MD Place Tower, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Friday (17/1/2025). In the film La Tahzan, Hanung Bramantyo once again presents Deva Mahenra as the main character, who also delivered a stunning performance in the film Ipar adalah Maut. Besides Deva, the cast of La Tahzan is star-studded, featuring Marshanda, Ariel Tatum, Asri Welas, Rachel Mikayla, Benidictus Siregar, Patricia Gouw, Reza Nangin, Ayu Dyah Pasha, Elma Theana, Elmandsipasi, and Rukman Rosadi.
Deva’s performance in the film La Tahzan will remind viewers of the nightmares in a household with the presence of a third party. Carrying the tagline “The Collapse of Perfect Love,” this drama film based on a true story will highlight important intrigues surrounding loyalty, temptation, and betrayal.
Deva admitted to feeling nervous about being trusted again to portray a controversial character like in the previous film. “Honestly, when I met Mr. Manoj and was offered to reprise a role that would be criticized and scrutinized by the entire Indonesian audience, I was very surprised. But in my opinion, this is an exciting and enjoyable challenge. Thank you, Mr. Manoj, for making my heart race again,” he said.
