Showing in All Indonesian Cinemas on Eid Al-Fitr 2025
“Pabrik Gula,” MD Pictures’ latest horror film is ready to terrorize cinemas in Indonesia during Eid 2025. The screening of the film, which is predicted to continue the glory of “Curse of The Dancing Village,” is also very special, because “Pabrik Gula” will be divided into two screening hours, namely Red Hour and Yellow Hour.
In the press conference for the release of the Official Poster and Trailer 2 of the “Pabrik Gula” film, there was the title “Pabrik Gula Uncut” and photos of each character on the latest poster.
MD Entertainment CEO Manoj Punjabi explained that there will be two versions of “Pabrik Gula” screening in cinemas, namely Yellow Hour and Red Hour. The first has a rating of 17+, while the latter is specifically for 21+.
Meanwhile, “Pabrik Gula Uncut” is included in the Red Hour category with an additional duration of about one minute compared to the other version.
“These two films are still “Pabrik Gula,” but there are certain elements, the storytelling is clearer, more precise, and more complete,” said Manoj. “Our strategy is that Red Hour of “Pabrik Gula Uncut” will air the evening show, Red Hour at 8 pm in several cinemas, meanwhile Yellow Hour is more free.”
“Pabrik Gula” is directed by renowned director Awi Suryadi with a line-up of talented stars such as Arbani Yasiz, Ersya Aurelia, Erika Carlina, Bukie B. Mansyur, and Wavi Zihan. The 2025 Eid holiday moment will be even more complete because “Pabrik Gula” is present in all cinemas in Indonesia, both in the regular version, IMAX, and 4DX.
In addition, producer Manoj Punjabi proudly revealed that “Pabrik Gula” will go international with the English title “Pabrik Gula.” In fact, the premiere of “Pabrik Gula” in Los Angeles, United States, will take place earlier than its screening in Indonesia, namely on March 27, 2025.
“We will go to LA and do an early premiere on the 27th there. So this “Pabrik Gula” film will be shown in America,” said Manoj.
“I never get tired of wanting to bring Indonesian films to go international, so this is positive news for all of us. So this is the first surprise for all from the “Pabrik Gula” film,” he explained.
