MD Pictures is ready to shake up Indonesian cinemas again with the horror Sebelum 7 Hari film, which will be released on January 23, 2025. This time, Awi Suryadi has once again been entrusted to direct the film, which is developed from a short film of the same name by Ivan Padak Demon.
Sebelum 7 Hari (Before 7 Days) will explore the belief that for seven days after a person’s death, their spirit will not leave their home. Some of the cast members who will appear in this film include Anantya Kirana, Sulthan Hamonangan, Agla Artalidia, Haydar Salishz, Mian Tiara, Aurra Kharishma, and Fanny Ghassani.
Director Awi Suryadi shared snippets of the shooting process of “Sebelum 7 Hari” on his social media. In about a month, the shooting of “Sebelum 7 Hari” was completed in July 2024.

Synopsis Horror Film Sebelum 7 Hari
The short film Sebelum 7 Hari has been available on YouTube for four years, and to date, it has been watched by more than 1.8 million people on YouTube.
In the short film, it is told about two children who attend the funeral of their recently deceased grandmother. While waiting for the funeral ceremony the next day, they stayed overnight in the late grandmother’s room and experienced a terrifying event.
The short film has won the Best Live Action award at HelloFest 14 and Best Fiction at the ReelOzInd! Australia Indonesia Short Film Competition and Festival 2021.
Now, Sebelum 7 Hari is being further developed into a feature film directed by Awi Suryadi, who previously set a record with KKN di Desa Penari as the highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time.
In the Sebelum 7 Hari film, the two main characters are named Tari and Kadar. They must bear the dark past of their mother and race against time, while an evil spirit demands its right before the seven days are over.
