Jakarta, January 7, 2024 – MD Pictures, an MD Entertainment Company (IDX: FILM), proudly released the teaser poster for the film ‘PABRIK GULA‘ directed by Awi Suryadi and starring a lineup of talented actors such as Arbani Yasiz, Ersya Aurelia, Erika Carlina, Bukie B. Mansyur, Wavi Zihan, and many more. The film ‘PABRIK GULA‘ will be released in 2025.
The teaser poster for the film ‘PABRIK GULA‘ presents a terrifying atmosphere. Depicted are the apparitions of several charred figures, surrounding two humans in the midst of the dark and gloomy sugar factory building. The shadow of the building hints at its very mysterious dark secrets, waiting to be uncovered.
This film is produced by Manoj Punjabi and inspired by a true story that has been brought to life by Simpleman. ‘PABRIK GULA‘ reunites Manoj Punjabi, Awi Suryadi, Lele Laila, and Simpleman, who previously achieved success with the phenomenal film KKN DI DESA PENARI, which became the highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time upon its release in 2022. The anticipation for ‘PABRIK GULA‘ is immense, with a promising production scale to deliver a mysterious and terrifying story behind the Sugar Factory.
ABOUT THE SUGAR FACTORY
Endah, Fadhil, Dwi, Hendra, Wati, Ningsih, and Franky set off with dozens of others to a sugar factory to become seasonal laborers. Every year, the sugar factory hires people from the surrounding villages to speed up the sugarcane milling process during the harvest season. At first, everything went normally without any strange occurrences, until one night, Endah woke up and left the dormitory where she was staying to follow a mysterious figure. Since that night, the workers began to experience escalating terror, starting from a workplace accident that befell one of them, to the gruesome death of a worker in the back well. Then it was revealed that the factory was adjacent to the demon kingdom, something had angered the demons, and now they were demanding the lives of the workers.
