About 14 years ago, Yasamin made her first appearance on the big screen in the film Melodi, a musical drama released on June 10, 2010. She played the role of young Mili. Six years later, Yasamin returned to the screen in two films, I am Hope and Bangkit!.

Even so, she also admits that shooting a horror film has its own challenges. For her, it takes extra energy to act in horror film scenes. Besides physical energy, her mental state also gets drained during filming.
“If shooting a horror film, I feel like in one moment everything comes together, from the voice, exhaustion, physical fatigue, mental fatigue, emotional fatigue, sometimes all at once in one moment, like ‘hah’,” said Yasamin Jasem during an interview with Voi.id.
“Yesterday, after talking with some cast members who participated in horror films, some agreed that the emotions we bring during filming are mostly negative, so that makes us lose our mood and immediately become reluctant to interact,” she continued.
As an actress, Yasamin’s talent has already been recognized, proven by the various nominations and awards she has received throughout her still-young career. In 2021, for example, she was selected as the Chosen Young/Teen Actress at the Maya Awards for her role in the film Mangkujiwo.

Yasamin Jasem is the only child of Payam Jasem and Lydia H. Moeis. Her father has Canadian-Iranian ancestry, while her maternal grandfather hails from Palopo, South Sulawesi.
