After landing in Los Angeles, the cast of Badarawuhi enjoyed the view at the Hollywood sign and took photos there. Then, they visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI).
When they arrived at the Indonesian Consulate General, they were greeted by Mr. Ipung and Manoj Punjabi, who wanted to tell them about the film Dancing Village: The Curse Begins and the screening process in America.
“We all here always hope that whatever is made by Indonesians, whatever is produced by Indonesians, especially films, yes, of course the hope is that it will open the eyes of the audience here. Indonesia also has class,” said Pak Ipung.
This statement was well received by all the Badarawuhi team in Penari Village. This is Manoj Punjabi’s response as CEO of MD Entertainment and producer of the film Dancing Village: The Curse Begins: “My hope is that Badarawuhi is a positive start. Not half-heartedly, but all out. We need your support, so let’s make it happen!”

Guess what? Boy William also came!
Manoj Punjabi: “First of all, I really like to thank Lionsgate for making this happen. Thank you so much for distributing our movie. It’s a privilege and it’s always something that I’ve been working on. For the last 10, or 12 years, it’s an attitude of never giving up—how do we make it happen, and now we are here. So, I always think that in Indonesia, we should be the hosts where our movies are showcased, and our market share should be there. And then when we are abroad, we should be treated like an honored guest. So, today, I feel that. Thank you.”

The mystery of Badarawuhi is still everyone’s question, therefore, in the film Dancing Village: The Curse Begins, these questions will be answered. The figure of Badarawuhi will also appear different from the version of Badarawuhi in the film KKN di Desa Penari. This is the response of the audience who have watched the film Dancing Village: The Curse Begins in Los Angeles.
“The film is really cool. Exciting and much better than the first film. The acting is really cool from the cast.”
“That’s very good. The acting was amazing. I genuinely feel like you could tell that it was made for IMAX because especially, the shots where you can see the Indonesian landscapes. Really good. Even I teach my partner here a lot about Indonesian superstition!”
“I can understand most of the story. Obviously there’s some of the culture. Stuff that I’m not gonna pick up on, but in terms of like general, I got the vibes. I may be a little bit of an advantage compared to maybe the average American to know Indonesian cultures.”
“I love the film. I think it’s a very solid film. Not only horror, but the drama asbestos really strong. And I love that the director took a lot of time with the emotions and the dialogue, it’s giving the actor a lot of a space to kind of showcase what they’re going through, through the dialogue.”
